How Semester GPA Is Calculated
Your semester GPA is calculated using quality points. For each course, multiply the grade points (A=4.0, B=3.0, etc.) by the number of credits. Add up all the quality points and divide by your total credits for the semester.
For example, if you got an A (4.0) in a 3-credit course and a B (3.0) in a 4-credit course: (4.0 × 3) + (3.0 × 4) = 12 + 12 = 24 quality points ÷ 7 total credits = 3.43 GPA
