How to Calculate Your Percentage Grade
Calculating a percentage grade is straightforward: add up all the points you've earned, add up all the points that were possible, divide earned by possible, and multiply by 100. This gives you your overall percentage in the class.
This method works well when all assignments are graded on a points basis and there's no weighting involved. If your syllabus shows that different categories count for different percentages of your grade, use the weighted grade calculator instead.
